Author Guidelines
The Journal of Business and Organizational Leadership (JBOL) welcomes submissions of original research, reviews, case studies, and conceptual papers on topics related to business management, leadership, and organizational behavior. The journal aims to foster knowledge exchange between academia and practice and to advance theory and empirical research in the fields of business and leadership.
To ensure that your submission is processed efficiently and meets the high standards of JBOL, please carefully follow these submission guidelines.
General Submission Requirements
Originality: All manuscripts submitted to JBOL must be original and not under consideration by any other journal. Papers should not have been previously published in any form, including in conference proceedings or preprints.
Types of Articles: JBOL accepts the following types of submissions:
Research Articles: Original, full-length research papers presenting empirical or theoretical investigations.
Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews of existing literature, with a critical analysis of developments in the field.
Case Studies: In-depth case studies that offer insights into real-world applications of leadership and business practices.
Conceptual Papers: Articles that present new ideas, frameworks, or perspectives that advance the field of business and organizational leadership.
Language: Manuscripts must be written in English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts reviewed by a native speaker or professional editor before submission.
Ethical Standards: JBOL adheres to the highest ethical standards in publishing. Authors must ensure that their work complies with ethical guidelines, including proper citation practices, acknowledgment of funding sources, and the use of human or animal subjects. Manuscripts that involve human participants should include a statement of ethical approval from a recognized institutional review board.
Plagiarism Check: Submissions will be screened for plagiarism using appropriate plagiarism detection software. Submissions found to contain plagiarized content will be automatically rejected.
Manuscript Preparation
File Format: Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Please use Times New Roman, size 12 font, and double spacing throughout the manuscript.
Title Page: The title page should include the following:
Full title of the manuscript
Full names and affiliations of all authors (including department, university/organization, city, and country)
Corresponding author’s email address and phone number
A brief abstract (150-200 words) summarizing the manuscript, including its objective, methodology, findings, and contributions to the field
Keywords: Provide 4-6 keywords that describe the content of the manuscript
Main Text Structure: The structure of the manuscript should generally follow the outline below, though authors are welcome to adapt it to the specific nature of their work.
Introduction: Provide background information and a clear statement of the research question or objective. Discuss the significance of the topic and summarize the literature review.
Literature Review: Conduct a critical review of existing research, highlighting gaps in knowledge or areas where the current study seeks to contribute.
Methodology: Describe the research design, methods, and procedures used to collect and analyze data. Include details about sampling, data collection instruments, and statistical techniques.
Results: Present the findings of your research in a clear and concise manner, using tables, figures, and charts where appropriate.
Discussion: Interpret the results in light of the research question and objectives. Discuss the implications of your findings, limitations of the study, and suggestions for future research.
Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and their contributions to the field. Provide practical recommendations, if applicable.
References: All references must follow the IEEE citation style. In-text citations should be numbered consecutively in square brackets, e.g., [1], [2]. References should be listed at the end of the manuscript in the following format:
For books:
[1] A. Author, Title of Book, Edition, City: Publisher, Year.
For journal articles:
[2] A. Author, "Title of article," Journal Name, vol. 10, no. 2, pp. 100-110, Year.
For conference papers:
[3] A. Author, "Title of paper," in Proceedings of the Conference Name, City, Country, Year, pp. 1-10.

Figures and Tables: All figures and tables must be included within the manuscript, not as separate files. Each figure and table should have a clear, concise caption placed beneath it. Figures and tables should be numbered consecutively, and the placement should be clearly indicated in the manuscript.
Acknowledgments: Any acknowledgments, including funding sources, should be included at the end of the manuscript before the references section.

Submission Process
- Online Submission: All submissions should be made through the JBOL online submission system. Please visit the journal’s website to submit your manuscript. You will be required to create an account and follow the step-by-step process for manuscript submission.
- Peer Review Process: JBOL follows a double-blind peer review process. Both the identities of the authors and reviewers are concealed during the review. Each manuscript is evaluated for its originality, significance, methodology, and contribution to the field of business and leadership.
- Revisions: Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback. It is important to address all reviewer comments thoroughly and submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response to reviewers.
- Acceptance and Publication: Once accepted, your manuscript will be published online first, and later included in a print issue of the journal. Authors will receive a notification of acceptance, and a formal publication date will be provided.
Copyright and Open Access
All accepted manuscripts will be published under an open access model, meaning that they will be freely accessible to anyone worldwide. Authors retain copyright of their work but grant JBOL an exclusive license to publish and distribute the article in all media formats. Authors may reuse the material for non-commercial purposes, provided proper attribution is given.
