Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Bulletin of Education and Psychology is an academic journal committed to publishing high-quality research in the fields of education and psychology. We welcome manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in these fields, from theoretical frameworks to applied research. This document outlines the submission requirements and formatting guidelines for authors who wish to contribute to our journal. Please follow these instructions carefully to ensure the efficient processing and review of your manuscript.

General Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically via our online submission system [Insert Submission Link]. By submitting your manuscript, you confirm that the content is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration for publication in any other journal.

All manuscripts will be subjected to a rigorous peer-review process. Authors are encouraged to prepare their submissions in accordance with the following guidelines to facilitate smooth handling of their manuscripts.

Types of Manuscripts

The Bulletin of Education and Psychology publishes a variety of article types, including:

  • Research Articles: Original research reports that present findings from empirical studies.
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews of existing literature, providing critical analysis and synthesis.
  • Theoretical Papers: Articles offering new theoretical perspectives or frameworks related to education and psychology.
  • Short Communications: Brief reports on specific studies, findings, or theoretical propositions.
  • Case Studies: In-depth analyses of specific educational or psychological cases.
  • Commentaries: Opinions or perspectives on recently published work or ongoing debates in the fields of education and psychology.

 Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be prepared in English, following the structure outlined below:

Title Page

  • The title of the manuscript should be clear, concise, and informative. It should accurately reflect the content and scope of the article.
  • Include the names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses of all authors.
  • Provide a corresponding author who will handle correspondence regarding the manuscript.

Abstract

  • Provide an abstract of no more than 250 words.
  • The abstract should summarize the key points of the research, including the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • It should be written in a concise and objective manner, avoiding references to figures or tables.

Keywords

  • Include 3-6 keywords that represent the central topics of your manuscript.
  • Keywords should be listed below the abstract, separated by commas.

Main Text

  • The manuscript should be divided into the following sections:
    • Introduction: Clearly state the problem or research question, providing background information and a rationale for the study.
    • Literature Review: Summarize relevant previous research and theoretical developments in the field.
    • Methods: Provide a detailed description of the research design, methodology, participants, instruments, and data collection procedures.
    • Results: Present the findings of the study in a clear and logical manner. Use tables, figures, or other visuals as necessary.
    • Discussion: Interpret the results in the context of the research question and compare them to previous studies. Discuss the implications of the findings and their limitations.
    • Conclusion: Summarize the main findings and their potential impact on theory, practice, and future research.

References

  • References should be formatted according to the IEEE citation style.
  • In-text citations should be numbered consecutively in square brackets, e.g., [1], [2].
  • The reference list should be provided at the end of the manuscript in numerical order, corresponding to the citation order in the text.
  • All cited works in the text must be included in the reference list and vice versa.
  • The reference list should include full details of each citation, formatted as follows:
  1. Books:
    [1] Author(s), Title of Book, xth ed. City of Publication: Publisher, year.
  2. Journal Articles:
    [2] Author(s), "Title of Article," Journal Name, vol. x, no. x, pp. xxx-xxx, year.
  3. Conference Papers:

  4. Online Sources:

Figures and Tables

  • Figures and tables should be placed at the end of the manuscript, after the references.
  • Each figure and table should be numbered consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1).
  • Provide a descriptive caption for each figure or table.
  • Ensure that figures and tables are clear, legible, and of high quality.

 Ethical Considerations

By submitting a manuscript to the Bulletin of Education and Psychology, authors agree to adhere to the highest ethical standards in research. Authors should ensure that:

  • The research complies with ethical guidelines, including approval from appropriate ethics review boards.
  • The study subjects (if human or animal) have given informed consent, and the research is in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.
  • The manuscript does not contain plagiarism or duplicate publications. Authors should properly attribute all sources, including textual, visual, and data references.
  • Authors disclose any potential conflicts of interest or financial disclosures that might influence the research or interpretation of findings.

 Submission and Review Process

Once submitted, the manuscript will be reviewed by the journal’s editorial team. If deemed suitable for review, the manuscript will undergo a blind peer review process. Reviewers will evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and significance of the research
  • Relevance to the journal’s focus on education and psychology
  • Scientific rigor and methodological soundness
  • Clarity and organization of the manuscript
  • Quality of writing and adherence to formatting guidelines

Authors will receive feedback from reviewers and may be required to make revisions before the manuscript is accepted for publication. The decision to accept or reject a manuscript will be based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the editorial board’s evaluation.

 Copyright and Open Access

All accepted manuscripts will be published under an open access model, meaning they will be freely available to all readers worldwide. Authors will retain the copyright to their work, but they will grant the journal the right to publish the manuscript and distribute it online.

 Revisions and Resubmission

If a manuscript requires revision, authors will be provided with detailed feedback from the reviewers. Authors must address all comments and suggestions in a revised manuscript, clearly indicating changes made in response to the reviewers’ feedback. The revised manuscript should be resubmitted along with a cover letter explaining how each comment has been addressed.

 Final Checklist

Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that:

  • The manuscript is formatted according to the guidelines.
  • All co-authors have approved the final manuscript.
  • Ethical considerations are properly addressed.
  • References are cited correctly and formatted according to IEEE format.
  • All figures and tables are correctly labeled and included.
  • The manuscript has been proofread for clarity and correctness.
