Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Our journal aims to publish groundbreaking research in the interdisciplinary field of applied materials and chemistry. We invite authors to submit high-quality articles that advance the understanding and application of materials science, chemistry, and related fields. Below are the detailed guidelines for preparing and submitting your manuscript.

 General Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscript Types: The journal welcomes the following types of submissions:
    • Original Research Articles: Novel and original research in applied materials and chemistry.
    • Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews on current developments in materials science and chemistry.
    • Technical Notes: Brief reports of new methods or techniques in applied materials and chemistry.
    • Letters to the Editor: Short communications addressing specific scientific issues or providing commentary on recent developments in the field.
  • Language: Manuscripts must be submitted in English. If English is not your first language, we recommend having the manuscript professionally edited before submission.
  • Length: Original research articles should not exceed 8000 words, including figures and tables. Review articles and technical notes may vary in length, but should not exceed 10,000 words.

 Formatting Requirements

  • Document Type: Submissions must be prepared in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). Figures and tables should be placed within the text at the appropriate locations, not at the end of the manuscript.

    • Use A4 paper size (210mm x 297mm).
    • Margins: 1 inch (25mm) on all sides.
    • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt for the main text.
    • Line spacing: 1.5 lines.
    • Paragraphs: Indented at 0.5 inches (12.7mm).
    • Justify all text (do not left-align).

    • Main headings should be bold and numbered (e.g., 1. Introduction, 2. Methodology).
    • Subheadings should be italicized and numbered (e.g., 2.1 Materials, 2.2 Procedures).

 Author Information

  • Affiliations: Provide the full names of all authors and their respective institutional affiliations. The affiliation should include the institution’s name, department (if applicable), city, and country.
  • Corresponding Author: The corresponding author’s email address and postal address should be provided at the end of the title page. The corresponding author is responsible for all correspondence regarding the manuscript, including revisions and proofs.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may arise from the research.

 Abstract and Keywords

  • Keywords: Provide 3–5 keywords, separated by commas, that capture the main topics of the article. These keywords will help readers locate your manuscript.

 Figures and Tables

  • Figures: Figures should be of high quality and resolution (300 dpi or higher). All figures should be numbered consecutively and have a caption placed below the figure. Figures must be cited in the text by their number (e.g., Figure 1).
  • Tables: Tables should be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Table 2) and have a title placed above the table. Tables should be created using the table function in Microsoft Word, not inserted as images.
  • Equations: All equations should be typed using the equation editor in Microsoft Word. Number equations consecutively throughout the manuscript (e.g., Equation 1).

 Citations and References

  • In-Text Citations: References should be cited in the text in IEEE citation style, which uses numbered references in square brackets, e.g., [1], [2]. Citations should be placed within the text at the appropriate location (e.g., “As shown by Smith et al. [1]...”).
  • Reference List: The reference list must be arranged in numerical order, not alphabetically, and formatted according to IEEE style. Ensure all cited references in the text are included in the reference list, and all entries in the reference list are cited in the text.
