Author Guidelines
Bulletin of Infrastructural and Architectural Engineering (BIAE)
The Bulletin of Infrastructural and Architectural Engineering (BIAE) is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity and quality in its publications. Submissions to BIAE undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality and scholarly excellence. Authors are required to submit two separate documents: an anonymous manuscript and a separate title page. It is essential that the manuscript does not contain any identifying information, such as author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, or other personal details.
1. Publication Ethics
Authors must adhere strictly to the ethical guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Any form of academic misconduct, including data fabrication, falsification, plagiarism (including self-plagiarism or duplicate publication without proper citation), and misappropriation of others’ work, is unacceptable. Submissions found in violation of these principles will be handled in accordance with COPE’s guidelines. Additionally, the Turnitin similarity index for submitted manuscripts must not exceed 25%.
2. Conflict of Interest Statement
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the content, analysis, or conclusions of the manuscript. This includes direct or indirect financial interests, academic competition, or personal relationships that may be perceived as a conflict. Such disclosures must be included in a “Conflict of Interest” statement within the manuscript.
3. Submission and Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
Language: Manuscripts must be written in English. Authors who are non-native English speakers are encouraged to seek professional editing services to ensure linguistic accuracy.
Submission Platform: All submissions must be made through the journal’s online submission system. Correspondence regarding the submission will take place exclusively through the platform. Authors will be notified of their manuscript's progress at various stages of the editorial process.
Anonymization: To facilitate double-blind review, authors must ensure that no identifying information appears in the manuscript. This includes:
- Removal of author names and affiliations.
- Exclusion of acknowledgments that reveal identities.
- Neutral references to the authors' previous work (e.g., avoid phrases like “In our earlier study”).

4. Paper Structure
The title page (submitted separately) should include the following:
- Full article title
- Shortened title (up to 60 characters, including spaces)
- Authors’ full names, ORCID IDs, and affiliations (university/institution name, city, and country)
- Corresponding author’s contact information, including email address
Manuscript Components:
Title: Clearly state the focus of the research.
Abstract: Provide a concise summary of the manuscript in no more than 300 words.
Keywords: Include 4–6 keywords relevant to the research.
Main Text: Manuscripts should range between 5,000 and 15,000 words and include the following sections:
- Introduction: Define the research topic, objectives, and significance.
- Literature Review: Summarize and critically evaluate existing research, identifying gaps addressed by the study.
- Methods and Procedures: Provide a detailed account of the research design and methodology, enabling replication.
- Results and Discussion: Present and interpret findings, using tables and figures as needed, and discuss their implications.
- Conclusion and Recommendations: Summarize key findings and their relevance, offering directions for future research or practical applications.
Acknowledgments: Recognize contributors, funding sources, or institutions that supported the research.
Conflict of Interest: Declare any potential conflicts of interest.
